Next month at Tech Ed 2009, Windows Mobile 6.5 will officially be released. To be honest, I don’t really know how to react to upgrades of the Windows Mobile platform having been burnt by so many other releases. It also doesn’t help that I have come to love the iPhone OS over the last year or so.
Let’s see how this iteration will turn out. Who knows, Microsoft may have learned from the past and will present us with something worthy of our spending. Bring on Tech Ed 2009!

If you want a gadget that’s geared towards emails but don’t want a Blackberry, check out HTC’s new HTC Snap. This sleek and slim device looks like a mix between a Nokia e71, Palm Centro Pro and a Blackberry.
According to the press release below, the HTC Snap was built on a study that found that many of us are overwhelmed by emails. In an effort to stem some of the stress, HTC created software called Inner Circle which prioritizes email from the most important people in their life with a touch of a button. Sounds ideal but whether it will be practical in real life situations will soon be revealed.
The HTC Snap has satisfactory specs – my biggest likes are its compact size and the 1500mAh battery on such a slim device which translates into a very decent 8.5 hours talktime. Bit disappointed that they only released a 2 MegaPixel camera in a 2009 device.
Would be interesting to see who will sell this in Australia. I have a feeling that it could be Telstra since they already have most of the HTC range on their shelves.
