Google unveiled a surprise product yesterday—the Google Chrome open-source web browser. And, in a move that’s quite Google-like, the world first knew of this browser through an online comic book. According to the Google blog, since the company employees were always working on a browser, it only seemed natural to work on one.

Yep, TechCrunch is planning to build a very simple web tablet that’ll set consumers back a mere US$200. It isn’t exactly a groundbreaking design no one’s ever thought of before (there were even people commenting that they had envisaged something similar long, long ago), but if TechCrunch can make it happen, then that’ll be fantastic.
