One of the best features about the new Samsung Galaxy Nexus is its huge 4.65″ Super AMOLED display. A few days ago, I posted my quick review on the Samsung Galaxy Nexus. In short, it’s a superb phone (in my opinion 2011′s best) however one of its major downsides is its battery life. Thankfully there has been an improvement in battery time when compared with the Samsung Galaxy S 2 out of the box, yet when using it with my normal operational style, I found the battery only lasted till around 1pm (fully charged at 7am). This is totally unacceptable in this day and age of what are supposed to be power-efficient dual core processors and higher capacity lithium ion batteries!

Before I start talking about my Samsung Galaxy Nexus, I hope you all had a Merry Christmas and recovering well from what should have been a time of feasting and celebration. I for one, am deliberately cutting back on all things tasty, at least for the next couple of weeks! Now back to the topic at hand, the Samsung Galaxy Nexus. As most of you have seen in my tweets, I have already rated it as the best Android that I have played with in 2011. Only a few days ago, Samsung officially unveiled another Android device, this time it’s in the form of a 7.7 inch tablet which they have named the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7. For those who remember, it’s slightly bigger than its predecessor (.7 inches), the Samsung Galaxy Tab. Not only that but now, but the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 runs Google Android OS 3.2 Honeycomb which is much more catered for tablet devices. A significant improvement from Android 2.2 non-tablet-optimized OS on the Tab.

As we forecasted earlier in the year, the Samsung Galaxy S II is a winner and the latest sales figures released by Samsung support this – 3 million Samsung Galaxy S II handsets sold in only 55 days! According to PCMag.com, it is 30 days ahead of it’s predecessor, the Galaxy S, which took around 90 days to achieve this!
