This would suit someone who spends a lot of time outdoors who wants a quality heavy duty tool with all the major functions. I particularly like the length of the saw which means you can effectively cut branches for a fire, pruning or even carving up a nice walking stick or spear.
The large pliers on the Leatherman Super Tool 300 are also a standout feature – it’s one of the strongest ever produced for a Leatherman which guarantees excellent grip in almost any situation. Get this – all up their are 19 tools on board, ready for the toughest jobs.

I love Leatherman pocketknives – they just look so animalistic! Take for instance the new Leatherman K502x & K503x; the first thing that comes to mind when I look at these are razor-sharp cat claws ready for some “Wolverine” type slicing ‘n’ dicing!
Take everything you expect from a traditional lockback folder. Then pile on the features—can opener, bottle opener, bit driver (with six screw bit tips), even a carabiner clip—but do it so the extra versatility isn’t noticed until it’s needed. What you get is a product engineers like to call “feature dense,” which means the k502x and k503x provide maximum usefulness with minimum bulk.
Features of the Leatherman K502x and K503x:
Blade opening: Thumb stud
Blade material: 154CM
Lock mechanism: Lockback
Closed length: 4.5″
Open length: 7.6″
Blade length: 3.1″
Weight: 7.2 oz., 204 grams
Blade grind: CNC flat
Blade style: Straight edge (k502x), combination straight and serrated (k503x)
Blade finish: Polished and ground
Handle material: Glass-filled nylon with rubber overmold, stainless steel bolsters
Phillips #1 & #2
Screwdriver 3/16″ & 1/4″
Screwdriver 1/8″ x Torx #15

Leatherman Skeletool Review by E.Giriftin February 2008
Where do I start! Firstly the service from mrgadget was second to none, the product was delivered very quickly and you actually felt like you were dealing with human beings! I ordered this product through an international company (hint: rainforest), that in the end I cancelled due to poor correspondence. I could not be happier with mrgadget. Thank you!
Now the product:
First impressions were:
This looks smaller than i expected, and feels very light! But do not let this deceive you, as in no way, shape or form does this feel inadequate and/or flimsy. It’s robust, modern and oozes with build quality. When you close this shut, it reminds me of a German car door thumping closed. It operates with ease and is immediately logical as well as ergonomic. Fits in the hand and pocket easily.
Aesthetically, it is a modern art work, the lines flow beautifully! It looks more like a sculpture you would find in the Macquarie University gardens. I stared at it, folding it in all directions and observing from different angles admiring the true workmanship and architecture of this tool. I must have looked like an idiot! The thing is though, it’s still a tool, all the functions you really need. I love it!
If you ever wondered what was in Robocops other leg, this is it!
