LG aren’t pulling any punches when it comes to innovation in smartphone technology. They have just announced that they will be officially unveiling details of the world’s first 3D smartphone at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona on Valentine’s Day (February 14th, 2011). The name of this latest addition to their premium Optimus Series is “LG Optimus 3D“. The news came via their LG Mobile Twitter account -> @LGMobileMWC.

Only a couple of hours ago did LG Electronics give official news of its most uber device for 2010 – the LG Optimus 2x (aka LG Star). Yes on the outside it may look like many of its contemporaries but on the inside it boasts a world first in smartphone technology – it features a dual-core processor specially designed by video graphics giant NVIDIA!

Ever since attending the LG Blogger Conference in Seoul earlier this year, I’ve been eagerly waiting for LG devices to rollout considering how much effort they’ve put into consumer / smartphone research in recent years. Now it’s their turn to shine.

The LG Optimus 2X marks a major turning point in smartphone technology.

Yesterday as I was casually strolling through Parkway Parade Shopping Centre in Singapore, I happened to stumble across a Singtel outlet with the LG Optimus 7 on display. Considering that I hadn’t seen one yet, I had to stop and have a play, even though I was slightly late in meeting my friends for some gnarly surfing at Sentosa Wavehouse.

After getting some decent rest, it was time to start touring the beautiful city of Seoul. (In case you missed Day 1, click here)

Adjusting my sleepy eyes to snow flakes carelessly floating past my window was captivating given I haven’t seen snow for 10 years or so and that I had come from Melbourne which was in the middle of summer.
