This is what a lot of people from all over the world might have been waiting for – the moment the T-Mobile G1 or the HTC Dream gets unlocked. From what I’ve heard, there’s an abundance of the first Google Android handset for sale on Ebay, but it’s useless if it can’t be used in other networks, especially in countries outside the USA.

We already known we might not be getting the HTC Dream, or at least it will be quite some time before it sees the light in other countries. Although a few mobile phone companies are already planning their own Google Android handsets, there’s still this desire to play with the G1.

The long-awaited HTC Dream donning its alternate name, the T-Mobile G1, has finally been unveiled. The first ever phone to run on the Google Android was presented and I can’t help but feel a bit underwhelmed. Other people are calling the phone ugly, but I’m not as displeased; I just think it’s a bit mundane.

We’ve been hearing about Google Android’s first handset, the HTC Dream, quite a lot lately. And, contrary to earlier reports that Google Android’s launch will be delayed, it seems the Dream is well on its way—these new spy pictures only strengthen that belief.

According to the New York Times, T-Mobile might be offering the very first Google Android smartphone in the market. The smartphone in question is the HTC Dream handset, which we’ve been hearing of for quite a while, repackaged (or at least renamed) as the G1.
