Most likely, every person you know has an Application Store. As promised, LG has launched its Application Store, which currently includes more than 1400 apps, both paid and free. It will be focused on Asia at first and LG named the application store as “LG Application Store”. Pretty much an original name huh?
The Application Store is available only in Australia and Singapore for the moment, but other Asian countries will be added soon – 15 different languages will be supported.
By the end of 2009, LG plans to launch the Application Store in Europe and Latin America, and to include more than 2000 apps.
The Store currently provides apps for Windows Mobile only – LG GM730 and LG KS20 - and it is not clear yet when other handsets will be added. Hopefully, the upcoming LG Chocolate BL40 will also be supported.
LG published a press release, however, it is in Korean. Just in case you are not aware, the “LG Application Store” is the 176th Application Store in the world, and believe me when I say, it will not be the last.
