LG aren’t pulling any punches when it comes to innovation in smartphone technology. They have just announced that they will be officially unveiling details of the world’s first 3D smartphone at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona on Valentine’s Day (February 14th, 2011). The name of this latest addition to their premium Optimus Series is “LG Optimus 3D“. The news came via their LG Mobile Twitter account -> @LGMobileMWC.
Despite being part of the LG Electronics Mobile Twitter Team at CES 2011, even I was surprised at this unique product offering! They’re keeping their cards very close to their chest.
Personally, I think this phone will expand our imaginations when it comes to filming clips on the run. Can’t wait to see these on YouTube in a few weeks time!

LG Is Changing the Smartphone Game
Delighting the world with world-firsts seems to be a repeating phenomenon with LG Mobiles lately – only in the last couple of weeks they’ve released the world’s first dual core processor phone with the LG Optimus 2X, then the world’s first smartphone to use the brightest display (NOVA) technology with the LG Optimus Black and now the world’s first 3D smartphone…what next?!
Rumor has it that their Honeycomb tablet will possibly have 3D technology embedded in it too…
