Finally! The wait is over for millions of loyal Verizon customers who have been waiting for the Apple iPhone 4 to be both compatible and available on the Verizon CDMA network. Since 2007, AT&T has had exclusive rights on the iPhone in the U.S. I didn’t realise what the big issue was, until I was in Las Vegas for CES 2011 only a couple of weeks ago – to put it bluntly, the AT&T network is shocking. For most of the trade show, I was left without reception and experienced numerous black spots in the hotel I was staying in. I can now sincerely sympathize with Verizon / non-AT&T customers who want an iPhone 4 as well as a decent network to host it.
Well done to Verizon and their customers for persisting in this battle!
February 10th, 2011 will be your day
Here’s the Verizon iPhone 4 video below. The amount of clocks flashing through this clip, is aptly symbolic of the grueling wait that many Apple fans around the U.S. have had to endure. No sign of an actual iPhone 4 though!
