Last year around this time, I dreamed about one day being able to attend the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), which is held in Las Vegas. For those unacquainted with CES, it is one of the major technology events in the calendar that gadget lovers all over the world look forward to. Why? Because most of the year’s newest devices are released here! Approximately 130 countries participate with the world’s top manufacturers to showcase their latest gear. CES normally starts in the first week of January and runs for 4 days.
As mentioned in a previous post, I hinted that there was a chance for me to be able to attend CES this year…
Good news…
I can now confirm that I’m going to CES 2011!
How did this amazing opportunity come about?
Firstly, I am going to CES 2011 to tweet and blog about the latest gear from LG Electronics who have generously taken care of all my traveling and accommodation expenses. My role will be to attend LG Electronics events and share all that I experience via my Twitter account (@mr_gadget) and this very blog!
I am honored to be partnering up again with LG who I consider to be a technology innovator and a force to look out for, particularly in the realm of smartphones.

I was fortunate to meet Kinmun earlier this year at a Citibank event in Singapore via a mutual friend – the ever creative and entrepreneurial, Pat Law. And I’ve been following Travis for about a year on Twitter. It’ll be great to meet up with these guys in real life (Kinmun again) and discover LG’s latest gear together. I like the fact that we’re all Dads! I’m sure we’ll have a lot of war stories to trade

Despite being sponsored by LG Electronics to attend CES 2011, I know I speak on behalf of Kinmun and Travis when I say that we will do our best to be unbiased with our opinions about LG gadgets. From all the rumours and what we’ve already seen LG release this year, I’m sure we’ll have mostly good things to report anyway

Can’t wait to be working with LG again. Earlier in 2010 I was invited to attend the LG International Tech Bloggers Conference in Seoul to discuss their upcoming smartphones. It was an awesome time of meeting kindred tech spirits from around the globe.
