The new Nintendo 3DS was launched in Japan over the weekend and as usual the wintery weather did not deter Nintendo crazy Japanese from queuing for hours to get their hands on Nintendo’s first gaming device that features a stereoscopic 3D (glasses free) display.
Below you’ll see an unboxing video by the guys at Gamespot that gives us all a firsthand glimpse at the Nintendo 3DS. Even though, the video isn’t filmed for optimal 3D viewing, I can still see increased depth and dimension provided by the stereoscopic 3D screen. The device is bound to take the portable gaming experience to another level.
The Rest Of the World Have To Wait Another 4 Weeks!
Although the Nintendo 3DS was on the the shelves in Japan this weekend, it won’t be available for the rest of the world until at least March 27th! As mentioned in the video below, if you are thinking of importing one of the Japanese released units, please ensure that you (or your customers) understand Japanese since these units do not have multi-lingual support.
Are you planning on getting a Nintendo 3DS?
