Las Vegas in January is freezing! The fact that I had spent the week before in tropical Fiji, didn’t help either as my body battled with the reduced temperatures.
One of the cab drivers told me that only the week before it had actually snowed on the Strip (Las Vegas Boulevard) for the first time in 30 years! His story was believable as I felt the chilly wind on my face as I stepped outside of the airport. It still strikes me as funny that a city situated in a desert could be so cold.
On the last day, having completed my tasks and tour of CES 2011 with the LG Electronics team, I thought I’d venture out and capture the city at its ‘best’. Las Vegas of course is known for all the flashing lights and glamour – I wanted to see this properly before I flew out. So with my trusty Canon 5D M2 digital SLR in one hand and my lighter Manfrotto tripod in the other, I hit the Strip and below is what I saw.
Hope you enjoy these.
Thank you again to LG Electronics for sponsoring my trip and allowing me to cover their latest gadgets!
