It was only this time last year that LG announced the world’s first dual-core phone and now there are rumours that HTC are the first to develop a quad-core device, dubbed the HTC Edge. Crikey. At this rate, by this time next year we’ll have a oct-core gadget!
Gone are the days of complaining that our phones are too slow. According to famous smartphones news and reviews website, Pocketnow.com, the HTC Edge will feature a Nvidia Tegra 3 1.5Ghz quad-core processor which means it will be able to handle much more multiple sets of processing instructions and theoretically provide better battery life than dual core devices. The HTC Edge is also said to have a whopping 4.7 inch screen.
Looking forward to seeing more details on this quad-core machine and will post when more tidbits are revealed.
In the mean time also keep your eyes on www.htc.com.
