It’s been a month since Mobile World Congress (MWC), where the LG Optimus 3D smartphone and tablet were announced with great (and deserved) fanfare, and the dates for the public releases of both are approaching… at least, we’re getting
some announcements coming through slowly! In the US, the Optimus Pad will be rebranded as the G-Slate, and it was announced at CTIA last week that the 3D smartphone will be called the LG Thrill 4G and available through AT&T.
Solid-sounding rumours have the G-Slate hitting US shelves on April 20th, but we’ve got nothing firm for Australia yet. Sorry!
Meanwhile, to keep your taste buds salivating, our intrepid correspondent Alister Cameron got up close with both devices at MWC. Enjoy!
The Optimus Pad has been offered up as one possible “iPad2 alternative”… what do you think?
