Today if you’re an Australian like me, you’ll be proud of very Cadel Evans who has just become the first Aussie to win the Tour de France. Being a hobby cyclist myself, I can imagine just how gruelling this race must have been on the body, mind and soul.
I especially liked what he said after the win:
“A few people always believed in me. I believed in me. And here we are today,” he said. “We did it.”
Given the above, kudos to those people who kept Cadel motivated and inspired too!
Well done Cadel, you’ve just inspired your country and will probably be a very popular name for babies this year!
