This latest video (below) that popped up in my Youtube subscriptions just reminded me of just how amazingly far HTC have come over the last couple of years.
Although, they’ve only in recent years started using their own brand name when marketing their gear, HTC has been behind some of the biggest game changing gadgets in the smartphone / PDA space.
My First HTC Device Was An O2 Device
One that comes to mind was my first PDA / phone device, manufactured by HTC, which was the O2 XDA II.
At the time, it was also one of the world’s leading converged devices (phone & PDA). The fact that we were able to sell so many for a webstore only a couple of months old, showed how popular this device was.
Small Is Good…Sometimes
HTC trumped the success of the O2 XDA II with a more diminutive version – the O2 XDA Mini. The compact design appealed to the female demographic and those whose focus was portability.
I am confident that if Apple released a “mini” iPhone that it would sell like hotcakes.
Enough about Apple back to HTC.
HTC Continue To Blaze Forward
Gauging from our web traffic, HTC continue to trail blaze. The most popular search term on the mrgadget.com.au website is “HTC Desire” – it accounts for over 6% of our traffic daily! This is quite substantial considering we have over 5,000 pages and only have 30 or so “HTC Desire” pages…
