New Microsoft Phone 7 Series Ad – Meet Anna

Here’s one of the first Microsoft Windows Phone 7 Series advertisements which showcases Microsoft’s latest mobile OS in action. If you didn’t know anything about Windows Phone 7 Series OS you’d quite easily think that this video was promoting some sort of new hologram phone technology. Just to clear any confusion, Windows Phone 7 Series does not project holograms from your device – these were simply used to enlarge what was happening on the screen. Wouldn’t be surprised if these mobile type holograms become commonplace in the future although I already foresee privacy issues getting in the way.

Back to the video. It’s about Anna and her family who just so happen to each have Windows Phone 7 Series devices – even the six or seven year old boy…in this short clip it shows them sending pictures to eachother, Facebooking and choosing movies together. Windows Phone 7 Series makes each of these tasks very easy and quick to do. I was a Windows Mobiles user for many years and it’s good to see Microsoft back in the game as a contender.

I’m sure we’ll see many more videos in the upcoming months especially as the first Windows Phone 7 Series devices eventually hit shelves.
