Apple iPad Unboxing Video

When I initially got wind of the iPad and its specifications, I was cynical of its real-life application and just thought it was a glorified iPod Touch. However the more I see it in action and consider the apps that could be developed for it, the more I want one! Ok I’ll be honest, I really just want to try playing StreetFighter IV on it…

Seriously – check it out in this CNet Apple iPad Unboxing Vid (below). You’ll love the size and thinness of the gadget. The iPad has been released from stores in the U.S. today so you’ll see lots of the word “iPad” flooding your web stream.

I can already see myself using it to step through process flow diagrams, notes, websites and screen designs with clients…and of course games like the aforementioned.

We should be getting our first batch of iPad Accessories in the next 2 weeks – I think the iPad Screen Protector will be a big hit. Will keep you posted.

Ed Dale Forgot To Buy Me An iPad

On a humorous note, my friend @Ed_dale just travelled a few thousand kilometers to be one of the first Australians to get an iPad. Follow him on Twitter and you’ll see how this gadget-toting webpreneur is making me sad that I don’t have one yet.

Arnold… interested…why do you ‘want’ an ipad? for one the girl (as far as i know) does not come with :) so are you going to replace your laptop?…(most have bigger screen realesate to play your games)… phone?… (ipad not very practical to hold up to your ear)… can buy ipad from US now but do not see sense unless going to replace another device… so understand you want, but do you actually need?

Will we see the ipad being sold for the usual ridiculous markups we see in Australia or will Apple be “forced” to bundle the ipad with one of the big carriers? That’s the question.

lol.. who doesn’t exactly want one? I DO. Perhaps, I am just waiting for a better version with MULTI tasking and USB report. I know, I know it’s too much to ask! :(

But, one of the writer got his hands on the product and he seems to be very much happy with the first version of iPad. Apple are definitely coming up with awesome products.

@palah I wouldn’t be replacing either my iPhone or my laptop with an iPad, merely wanting one to evaluate and see it run apps that I already have on my iPhone.
@luke Must admit it would’ve been a fun ride and to hang out with other early movers
@Kimble Don’t think we’ll see ridiculous markups. Look at the MacBookPro, iMacs etc. Not much diff in pricing.
