The big problem with the DS is that it has to be backwards compatible and a huge part of the market is people who own the "DS" or the "DS Lite". The features for the DSi must be compelling enough to upgrade - the question is are they?

The best point is that the DSi can use WPA which is a more secure wireless algorithm but legacy programs (i.e. hundreds of titles) are not automatically enhanced to this protocol.

So for old games you still can not run the DSi over a network in a secure manner - bit of a shame as I would think adding a protocol converter from WEP to WAP is not impossible - it's really just a bit of hardware and software.

Of course what Nintendo really wants you to do is buy a new unit and new games - all over again!

Lol Dwayne, I think the DS Lite would like to have a word with you. I don't think anyone really cares about the camera, I sure don't. DSi is already more successful than previous models.

I noticed the review mentions the RAM upgrade but not the Processors? I don't see the point of mentioning some hardware instead of all or none.

I still believe this will be a massive flop! Just like the eyetoy (for playstation) just another gimick that will get old! There is only so much you can do with a camera to before it gets boring.
