Targus Slimlite Laptop Bags Announcement & Giveaway

targus_slimlineTargus just sent me a 14.1 inch version from their new Targus Slimlite Laptop Bag range and there’s no doubt it lives up to its name. It’s made out of synthetic neoprene material, however while it is light, it also provides padded protection for all of your laptop. I’m currently using a Dell XPS M1330 which fits perfectly even with its extended battery.

It also comes with a shoulder strap and a wide variety of pockets to store everything from your mouse to your AC adapter. The design of the Targus Slimlite means that you can quickly pack and unpack your notebook which is a handy feature especially for travellers checking in and out of airports.

I highly recommend the Targus Slimlite Laptop range to anyone seeking a minimalist solution for carrying around their laptop but still want to ensure it’s protected.

Targus Slimlite 14.1″ Laptop Bag Giveaway Instructions

We’re giving away our review unit! Simply write a comment on what you like best about it by Friday 29th of May, 2009. We’ll announce the winner on the following Monday.

From the Targus Slimlite Press Release

The next phase in mobile computing has arrived with demand for compact, lightweight and more affordable laptops on the rise. People on-the-go aren’t just looking to downsize their PCs, they’re seeking a case that’s equally affordable and lightweight – and Targus is meeting this trend head-on.

Targus SlimLite Laptop Cases offer the protection, classic design and functional features expected of traditional laptop cases – only they are lighter and retail from just $44.95. Hidden storage sections under the front flap are ideal for storing essentials such as the power supply, whilst a rear slip pocket ensures documents are within easy reach. Never clunky or awkward to carry, the NeoPrene cushioned handles and padded shoulder straps offer maximum comfort while you’re on the move.

Leading electrical and computer retailer Harvey Norman has witnessed a growing demand for laptops that retail for less than $1,000 and consumer demand for cases that are just as value-oriented.

“In these tight economic times customers are increasingly looking to invest in computing solutions that are price competitive yet meet a range of professional and personal needs. The Targus SlimLite cases are an ideal accessory for people looking to save on cost and space without compromising on function,” said Rick Seymour, Harvey Norman’s Product and Marketing Manager for Computer Hardware.

The Targus SlimLite range is available in 10.2, 14.1, 15.6 and 17 inch cases, and is available at Harvey Norman stores nationwide. RRP $44.95.

my dh and I like the ease of use at the airport check in. we put all the accessories in zip lock bags and then just pop out the laptop without spilling anything out.

Again Targus have seen a need in the market, with the growth of the small laptop this bag would be essential, and I know that I could sure use one of these myself for my new laptop. With the well placed pockets you can easily get access to your other devices or pen and notepad I can see that this will be a must have for any business or traveller who wants to keep their laptop with them.
This is yet again a well thought out product to meet the market needs.

Definately something I could use, the company I work for, Rapidfire, is about to start after hours support.

We’re actually buying a small 13″ or 14″ laptop that will be taken home by whoever agrees to do the support each week, and there will also be a mobile phone as well as a variety of tools in the kit.

This bag looks like it will fill the bill perfect, storage room for everything!

I love the fact that it has segregated pockets for various equipment you will carry around with your laptop and this sure as heck beats the one I’m currently using.

So definitely as stated, it will make packing and unpacking much more friendly.
