Sieben Australia provided us with their new and improved iPod dock, the Sieben iDock Gen 2. Although it looks the same as its predecessor, it offers significant functional improvements and upgrades over the Gen1 unit – not least of all video compatibility with Apple’s latest iPods.
Features of the Sieben iDock Gen 2:
The main advantages that this dock has over the standard iPod dock that comes with your iPod are the following:
- Allows you to connect directly to your stereo
- Allows you to connect directly to your TV
- Charges your iPod or iPhone
- Metal body gives it a solid feel
- Weighs 320 grams which means that it won’t be moved easily
- Features gold plated connectors that guarantees high quality sound and image
Although it charges and plays music with the iPhone, it is not 100% compatible. Despite this, I still enjoy seeing and using it on my desktop with my iPhone in place.
