Actually found out an enterprising 'Liads' on modaco.com has nearly perfected (two minor bugs exist) a work around for BT over voice on i900 http://www.modaco.com/content/i9x0-omnia-rom-discussion/284865/fixing-bluetooth-audio-routing-for-i900/

Put my price up on eBay so if it doesn't sell will keep my i900... for another month or two :) as very happy otherwise

Looks like the voice command component of Bluetooth needs work in general and a consistent working standard agreed to by all incumbent manufacturers.

Yeah Arnold have found BT is a hit & miss feature on some phones.. sold my E71 which had some great features but kept dropping/reconnecting BT... Nokia blamed Blueant & Blueant (pointed me to forums hightlighting challenge)blaming Nokia. The same thing happens with the i900, people complaining about a lack of this feature and Samsung have fixed on the i910... Samsungs new HD looks to give the Touch HD a run for its money but at this point will more than likely go the touch HD as know it does work with BT as required

Somehow I share your sentiment that voice command via bluetooth will not be high priority for Samsung.

using i900 for about two months and totally ageee is an excellent smart phone, but has one feature missing - the i900 cannot activate voice commands via bluetooth :(... may be fixed in a rom update but it took Samsung 1 year to fix the same challenge on the blackjack. So if this is a feature you require look elsewhere - my i900 is on ebay :)

Samsung Omnia is one of the best multimedia/smart phones out in the market. It practically has everything one could ask for in a mobile device. Despite running windows mobile (which can be quite a drag), Samsung managed to tweak it enough to make the phone less "clunky". There is a problem with the widget bar however that one cannot customize the icons there. It might just be a prsonal preference, but I still prefer physical keys than the virtual keys, although the vibration felt when pressing the screen provides a feedback, not as good as a physical keypad but good enough. All in all, the Samsung Omnia is one of the best smartphones currently available. I definitely prefer it to the iphone 3G which is, as Macbeth puts it "full of sound and fury, signifying nothing"
