The Mobile World Congress 2009 is happening as we surf in Barcelona. Nokia, always someone to look for at these type of events, announced the Nokia N86 8MP smartphone.
As you’ve probably guessed by its name, one of the biggest features on this mobile phone is a 8MegaPixel camera. Before you let out that yawn, this camera comprises of Carl Zeiss optics, capable of 1/1000 shutter speed, duel LED flash and can video at 30fps. That’s four pluses over the iPhone’s camera!
Features of the Nokia N86 8MP:
- S60 Symbian Operating System
- A-GPS on board
- 8GB built in memory
- Memory expandability via microSD
- 8 Mega Pixel digital camera with dual flash and Carl Zeiss optics
- 30fps VGA video
- FM Transmitter
- Digital Compass
- Accelerometer
- TV Output port
- Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP
- 3.5mm headphone jack
- 25hrs music playback
- 1200mAH battery
- 2.6″ OLED Display 240 x 320
- 3G HSDPA/HSUPA
Will be available by Q2 this year.
This gadget is feature packed and I would recommend it to anyone who likes taking decent snapshots on the go.
Built-in FM Transmitter is a very cool capability! Hoping to see more multimedia smartphones incorporate this.
