Nokia E63 Review

Your life will not be 24 hours of work or 24 hours of entertainment. But most of the smart phones are designed in the opposite way i.e. for one or the other purpose only. Price and Availability
Nokia says that the unlocked version will be available for a price of $279, a rate which is much cheaper than many smart phones of this category. An unlocked phone does not come with a service plan of any particular cellular carrier and you will not be forced to sign some lengthy service contract while you buy the phone. You need to supply your own SIM for getting the voice and data service. The Nokia E63 is compatible with the AT&T and T-Mobile networks.

Design
The E63 is available in red or blue colour and looks a like most of the the Nokia’s smartphones. It has a full QWERTY keyboard, 2.3-inch display, and a relatively slim profile with .5 inches thickness.

Web Browsing
The Nokia E63 comes with a full HTML browser with Flash support. You will also get support for 3G HSDPA network and Wi-Fi wireless networks for speedy Web browsing and data access.

Software
Similar to other Nokia’s smart phones, E63 runs on the Symbian OS. E63 possess two customizable home screens, one can be setup for your professional needs which includes your business e-mail and calendar and another for your personal life which has photos and a Web-based e-mail account. You can switch between them as you like. The E63 includes a version of QuickOffice, which allow you to view Microsoft Office files, and also has a PDF viewer. Many applications can be directly downloaded to the phone.

Messaging
The Nokia E63 offers support for a variety of corporate and personal e-mail account types, which includes IMAP, POP3, Microsoft Exchange, and SMTP accounts. Instant messaging, SMS and MMS messaging features are also supported.

Camera
The Nokia E63 comes with a 2-megapixel camera which can capture video clips and still photos. Features like digital zoom and flash facility are also included. You can also adjust some basic camera settings, like the white balance setting.

Music and More
The E63 has basic music and video player, and also includes a built-in GPS system and support for Nokia Maps. The phone also supports Nokia’s Ovi suite, which allows users to share their photos and purchase songs which can be transferred to the phone.
