Leatherman Super Tool 300

I was quietly agog, when I heard that I was going to get another Leatherman multi-tool to review. This time it was none other than the Leatherman Supertool 300! One thing for sure, this tool is not for the faint-hearted – it’s larger than most pocket knives / pocket tools on the market due to the serious quality of the inbuilt tools.

This would suit someone who spends a lot of time outdoors who wants a quality heavy duty tool with all the major functions. I particularly like the length of the saw which means you can effectively cut branches for a fire, pruning or even carving up a nice walking stick or spear.

The large pliers on the Leatherman Super Tool 300 are also a standout feature – it’s one of the strongest ever produced for a Leatherman which guarantees excellent grip in almost any situation. Get this – all up their are 19 tools on board, ready for the toughest jobs.

Give it to me and I will use each tool to create a 22cm tall exact replica of Richard Dean Anderson using only the contents of my bottom drawer…and then open a beer.

1. 420HC Clip Point Knife with Straight Edge
– to show as evidence of my overwhelming masculinity
2. 420HC Sheepsfoot Serrated Knife
– I use this for whittling the feet of ungulates of all descriptions
3. Needlenose Pliers
– Good for threading needles in preparation for attending to wounds inflicted by said ungulates
4. Regular Pliers
– kept in reserve for removing dags from the ungulates, thereby keeping them, you guessed it, regular
5. 154CM Removable Wire Cutters
– for cutting wires, but only those that are removable.
6. 154CM Removable Hard-wire Cutters
– for cutting wires that are hard to remove.
7. Stranded-wire Cutters
– for cutting wires when you have run out of petorl in the outback and need to tap into a phone line to call the RAC
8. Wire Stripper
– while you’re up the telephone pole, use this to send a telegram to one of your terpsichorean echdysiast friends.
9. Electrical Crimper
– for ensuring that ‘Sparky’ the hamster doesn’t get loose.
10. 5/16″ Screwdriver
– Good for scraping paint off the model plane that I messed up
11. 7/32″ Screwdriver
– This I use on the wings.
12. 1/8″ Screwdriver
– No apparent use – don’t you know that most of the screws in AU are metric? no, wait….
13. Phillips Screwdriver
– NO! I’t MINE!
14. Wood/Metal File
– For determining whether the handcuffs that the nice policeman put on me are wood or metal.
15. Saw
– for removing the handcuffs if they are wooden
16. Bottle Opener
– for celebrating my release from unjust confinement
17. Can Opener
– ditto
18. 9 in | 22 cm Ruler
– for performing small metric conversions – ie: seeing if the 1/8 screwdriver is likely to fit a given metric screw.
19. Awl with Thread Loop
– see #3 – but for the BIG wounds.

I will use this tool to complete all the little minor DIY jobs around the house that my husband has started but has absolutely no intention of finishing!!

ohhh my husband would put this to some serious use…fishing, backpacking, mountain biking, boulder climbing…Thank you for the chance! He wants to start collecting knives so this would be a great start :)

Using one of these I could remove my speedway car out of the turn 4 wall bit by bit at my local track where it crashed on its maiden lap! Maybe if I had one of these the main computer loom for the engine would have not fallen out causing the crash.

Well, out camping, I can use the serrated knife to cut some bread for food,
use the saw to cut branches for firewood, and also as mentioned, for my spear,
use the filer to make it a little sharper and safer to hold (splinters),
then go scare everyone with my little Indian attack,
and open a bottle or can for a refreshing cold drink.

I would give this fabulous Leatherman Supertool 300 to my husband together with 300 paper credits for jobs he can do for us and our home … that should keep him busy and very happy for a long time.
Cheers
Jane

It may be indirect rather than creative but the judges shall decide; if I were to win this Leatherman Supertool 300 I would give away the tools it replaced – thereby de-cluttering my utility belt and increasing my take-off speed while improving the lives of others. :)

I work in the audio industry and after many years my super tool has worn out, but i don’t have reciept [ bought 2nd hand ] so they won’t replace it. With a new tool i could help bring entertainment to many for a long, long time. Merry Christmas.

Tools lost by my son? – 8
Tools broken by my son? – 7
The look on his face when I don’t lend him my Leatherman Supertool 300? – Priceless!
