I have been holding out for this release and putting up with my dodgy old 02 in the meantime. People tell me that there are still issues with this release, but when is there not? Either way, I can hardly wait to get my mitts on mine as I am quite sure it will revolutionize my life with its superior power and ability to make my morning coffee… Oh wait.. that must be in the next release.

I will be upgrading my firmware on my iPhone 3G to OS 3.0… get most of the software benefit. In another year (when my current one is out of contract) I will look at the latest and greatest.

I like the sound of faster processor, digital compass, better camera with autofocus and video, but the upgrade cost is likely to be big…

But I am most excited about MMS, tethering (maybe on Telstra), real bluetooth (A2DP) and searching. Shake to shuffle will be nice also! Cut and Paste… yes yes yes!

Come on! Hurry up 10 days!

re the ‘new’ iPhone… most of the specs are getting closer to current smart phones, most impressive is the video playback and suppose 32 gigs of memory (aka N75) although personally only use 2 of my 8 gigs on i900but a 3mp camera does not seem a big improvement…It says improved battery life, can you now remove the battery as that was a big let down before…

It hasnt tempted me to upgrade but to actually buy one! Im going to surprise the business employees with one each! So how much is it costing most to upgrade? Do you have to payout your contract on your old one first? Im guessing at least a $150 fee
