All,

I live in the U.K. but will be moving to the states soon, need a suitable ext. H/Drive so considering this one. My problem is will I get it to work in the states on 120 Volt / 60 Hz. I know these drives are available Stateside, what I’m hoping is a simple power cable change is all I require. Checked tech specs on lots of
sites but can’t find the voltage info for the power supply. Can one of you lucky owners tell be if the P/S is switchable (auto/manual) and what the voltage/frequency range is?

what part of “Plug and Play do you not understand, computers are all the same world over and all are running 12 volts inside, so with the USB port connector you can plug it in to any computer anywhere in the world.

Incase you didn’t know plug and play refers to the software aspect only. These larger harddrives still need to be powered by an external power source as the usb can provide enough power.

So I guess that part of plug and play is one you do not understand, Stuart.
