HTC Touch Dream – Will this finally be Australia’s first Android Phone?

As I was trawling through news sites this evening, I came across this advertisement that tells us a couple of things: the HTC Touch Dream (aka T-Mobile G1) is on its way to Australia; it will be sold by Optus; and that it may be Australia’s first Google Android phone given that Kogan has pretty much left the Android race.

Looks promising as long as it doesn’t take more than a couple of weeks to get here – HTC may as well release a new version since it’s been out for more than half a year already.

Hoping to finally be able to do a real comparison with the iPhone, since many Android lovers weren’t convinced by my piece late last year. This is understandable given at that time the Android was quite new and I had yet to have a hands-on play with it. I’m very open to constructive feedback. Keep ‘em coming!
