Just like the Lenovo X200, the new Voodoo Envy 133 by Voodoo and HP takes the MacBook Air head on. It might look just a lil bit chunky, but the carbon fiber case is actually just 0.7 inch thick. The Air just looks thinner because of its tapering design.
At 3.4 pounds, the Voodoo Envy 133 has a 13.3-inch LED-backlit screen with an illuminated keyboard. Here’s the good part: the computer has an instant-on feature called the Voodoo IOS which boots the computer within 10 seconds. Without having to run Vista in the background, users can browse online, use chat messengers, and even access photos and music (not movies though) on the optical drive. Coming with the laptop itself is the Aura PowerConnect which acts as a power brick and a wireless access point in one. As icing on the cake, you can even choose among the 14 Voodoo Allure paint finishes to design your laptop with. The Voodoo Envy 133 is yet to be released; what we know for now though is that prices start at US$2,099.
