Yep, Vodafone’s announcing a price cut in its BlackBerry plans. It’s a bit sudden but not altogether surprising. After all, the 3G iPhone IS coming soon. Gizmodo conjectures that Vodafone could be testing the waters, but for now, BlackBerry users could try mobile web browsing with lower prices than before.
You can now check 500 emails on your BlackBerry (1.5MB of data) for AU$14.95. For the unlimited data plan (which isn’t really unlimited), it’s AU$24.95. Of course, these prices don’t come without condition. You first need to be on Vodafone’s AU$49 plan or AU$79 plan. And, for those not waiting for the iPhone and would rather get a BlackBerry, just sign up for the AU$79 plan for two years and get a BlackBerry Pearl 8110 smartphone free. Interested?
