Finally, Samsung OMNIA, the brand’s touch screen handset released at the same time the iPhone 3G was, is now available in Australia. It will be available through two carriers – Vodafone and Three – on a $79 cap plan for a 24-month lock-in period.
The Samsung OMNIA is a full-faced touch screen phone that was released first in the United Kingdom. It’s been compared extensively with the iPhone 3G because of its specs and date of release. Of course both handsets are still very different from each other and I’m sure fans of both can only insist their favorites are a lot better than the other. Also called the Samsung SGH-i900, the phone has a 240×400 pixels resolution display, a 5MP camera, and a 16GB internal storage.
