You really got to wonder at these “luxury phones.” I mean they ARE made of stuff like gold or platinum, but most of the time, you either get underwhelmed by specs or you have to do a double-take due to their peculiar design. This Vertu Boucheron 150 is certainly of the latter’s ilk.
The Vertu Boucheron 150 is made of one whole block of pure gold, carved to become what you see on the picture. I’m not exactly sure what look they’re going for and what specs it’s going to carry aside from the 3G connection, but we do know that this Vertu handset was made to commemorate the 150th anniversary of French jewelry house Boucheron. The handset even comes with its own treasure box. According to source, it takes 2,000 hours to build one of these phones by hand, so expect a low number of supplies and a very, very hefty price tag. Yep, the Vertu Boucheron 150 is rumored to be sold for US$30,000 per.
