Yesterday, Vodafone put up its price list for the iPhone 3G in Australia, only to be pulled down shortly afterwards. There were two pages put up, but only one of those pages is now officially online the Vodafone web site.
There are eight new plans for iPhone 3G for now, the lowest of which is the AU$69 monthly plan which comes with $310 of talk. Succeeding personal plans are priced at $99, $119, with the highest being the $169 per month plan that comes with $1200 of 1GB data, messaging, and voice calls. All of the plans detailed on the page require an upfront payment of $189 for the 8GB iPhone and $309 for the 16GB iPhone. It’s not confirmed yet, but Vodafone will have other plans available for the iPhone including one with no upfront costs and would let consumers pay the phone within a span of 24 months as well as pre-paid pricing plans.
Good news is that Vodafone put up an online store where consumers can pre-order their iPhone 3Gs. It began sending out emails to those who signed up for pre-registration with the company to know the details of its iPhone 3G plans when they come out (those who pre-registered get a link to an online store similar to web page above but with a small “Buy Now” button at the bottom of each pricing plan summary). Even if you can buy as early as now though, Vodafone will only start shipping units after the worldwide release date.
