It seems that earlier reports about the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 arriving in Oz by early 2009 were false – the much anticipated smartphone will come one month earlier than expected. Yes, the touch screen slider Windows Mobile smartphone that went through a lot of pushed release dates is finally being released.
In Australia, the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 will be an exclusive offering by Telstra on the telco’s NextG network, of course. Great news, right? Unfortunately, it’s only great news for people with deep pockets – the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 will cost you AU$1,499. No details on contract, data, and network pricing were given though. Many of the countries that will be getting the XPERIA X1 are expecting it on November 28, but in Australia, the smartphone will drop on early December. Now readers, let me ask you this; from the time the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 was announced until its release, were you actually able to wait for it or did you get tired and bought something else since then?
