The fellas at Brighthand have done it again with their exhaustive review of the T-Mobile G1. Included in the review are some informative videos and photos of mobile dubbed the ‘Googlephone’.
Their review supports some of the sentiment I shared in my article entitled “Why the iPhone 3G is better than the T-Mobile G1“. It’s a version 1.0 device which means that it’s new and there’s a lot of room for polishing up. Whereas the iPhone 3G was a second iteration and incorporated almost 1 years worth of feedback, bug-fixes and improvements (iPhone version 1 was released in June 2007).

In summary, here’s what Ed Hardy (Brighthand Editor) had to say about the T-Mobile G1:
When I think of the T-Mobile G1, the phrase that occurs to me is “a good first step”. Most of Android’s basic features are there, and they work very well. But there are enough extra features either missing or so poorly handled to make this smartphone seem unfinished.
