Sony to Release Movies and Music in USB Drives

And yet another attempt to pack digital files into USB drives as a media for public consumption. Sony has recently announced that it will be selling movies and music on USB flash drives soon. Among the movies that be nabbed are Men In Black and The Da Vinci Code for US$29.99 per.

Movies in USB drives could be a wonderful deal for some people, particularly those whose broadband connections are so slow to download movies within a decent time. CNET expressed doubts on the viability of selling music on a USB flash drive though – after all, it’s very easy to purchase and download music online. Nevertheless, if you’re interested, you can grab the 25th Anniversary version of Michael Jackson’s Thriller for $19.99 for starters.
