Sony Ericsson Xmini Released in Japan

While far from the shores of Australia, this Japan-only handset is of note due to its sheer uniqueness. We know a lot of Walkman phones in the market, but this one is literally a Walkman phone.

Like you see on the picture, the Sony Ericsson Xmini is a slider phone which, when its keypad is completely retracted, looks just like a Walkman player. It’s a deviation from the usual clamshell phone Japan usually comes up with. In fact, it looks real refreshing in my eyes. The Xmini has 1.8-inch QVGA LCD panel and 4GB of storage. It will be released in Japan this December by local telco KDDI.
