Gaming on mobile phones sure has come a long way. I remember when I used to play Snake on those old Nokia phones almost a decade ago. Now Sony Ericsson introduced the new big development in mobile phone gaming—motion gaming.
The Sony Ericsson F305 gaming mobile phone is equipped with a motion sensor that makes you physically involved in the games you play. For example, for the preloaded games “Bowling” and “bass fishing,” the movement of your arms to cast a rod or aim a ball at the pins is taken into account and is part of the games themselves.
“Gaming is no longer something you do on your own. It’s about having fun with your friends and interacting with the game†says Sven Totté, Head of Product Marketing at Sony Ericsson. “We have used motion sensor technology before in our phones and integrating it into gameplay is a natural progression.â€
Other than its gaming feature, the Sony Ericsson F305 comes with the usual mobile phone specs such as loud stereo speakers, 2-megapixel camera, and M2 card slot. There are three factory-installed games included with the phone, and 50 more available for download at PlayNow.
