Sony Announced Bluetooth Headset for the PS3

Who says Bluetooth headsets are for phones and notebooks only? Sony announced a Bluetooth headset with the model name CEJH-15002 especially for the PlayStation 3 console. Like other headsets for portable gadgets, this one’s equipped with a hook for a more secure fit as well.

The Sony CEJH-15002 is a Bluetooth 2.1+EDR device that allows gamer to gamer (as long as users are within 10 meters of each other) conversation for particular games, making it a useful tool for professional gamers. Retailing next month in Japan for US$49, the Sony CEJH-15002 Bluetooth headset has eight hours of talk time and 300 hours of standby time. To inform gamers of their headsets’ profile, PS3 shows a status screen that contains volume level, battery life, mute status, and connection status. We don’t know whether this one will see a global launch in the future, but I think it’ll be wise for Sony to do so.
