Good news for all you people with handsets running on Windows Mobile 2.5 – Skype has just released a new beta for your device. The new Skype beta is reportedly full-featured, so you get to enjoy Skype as it is on the computer.
The Skype Mobile version uses tabs at the bottom of the app for different functions. There’s one to view messages, another to initiating instant messaging with others, one to see missed calls, another to change status, and still another for placing calls. There’s also a dialing pad you can use if you’re using a touch screen phone. As usual, quality of calls still depends on your handset. This is great news for frequent travelers who need VoIP connection on their phones, although there already are other alternatives.
