I’m admittedly not one of the most careful people on earth. Scratching a mobile phone’s display is practically second-nature to me; smashing it completely, a close second. Brando sheds a ray of hope for clumsy people like me who own an iPhone 3G.
What could be a better answer to scratched and broken displays other than replacing them? Brando is offering an iPhone 3G Replacement LCD Display for sale. The catch? Well, you do have to do it yourself. Fear not though, Brando also has an iPhone Opening Tools Kit for sale, consisting of two screwdrivers, one universal opening tool, and two plastic opening levers. While the LCD screen is exclusively for the iPhone 3G, the opening tool kit could also be used for the first-gen iPhone, iPod, Nintendo DS Lite, and PlayStation Portable. Of course, opening the iPhone 3G on your own would probably void any warranty you have, so proceed at your own risk (although you most probably won’t have a problem with smashed screens if you still do have warranty now, won’t you?).
