Yes, yes, I know, this used to be just a geek’s pipe dream. I mean come on, just recently, SanDisk introduced 16GB memory cards for mobile phones and made a lot of people weep (out of joy). But yes, according to sources, SanDisk really is slated to introduce a 128GB microSD Card within three years.
That means come 2011, those diminutive cards would have the same capacity as that of hard drives. What would such a development implicate? For one, mobile phones, media players, and other compatible mobile devices could be used as portable storage gadgets. And here’s one exciting thought: if those phone projectors are ready by that time, you could just store all the movies you want in it and watch them anywhere there’s a white wall. Now all we got to worry about is battery life.
