SanDisk has just announced the Superman (faster than a speeding bullet, right?) of its Memory Stick product line—the Sandisk Extreme III Memory Stick PRO-HG Duo. This tiny card which packs a punch has read and write speeds of 30 megabytes per second.
Sony acted as SanDisk’s cohort in developing this memory card specifically for PRO-HG capable Sony DSLR cameras, as well as some of Sony’s digital camcorders and point-and-shoot cameras. Just like other Extreme III cards, by the way, this one can withstand extreme temperatures, carries a lifetime warranty, and comes pre-installed with the RescuePRO software which can recover deleted images. The first public glimpse of this product would be during the PMA Australia 2008 Imaging Technology Show wherein SanDisk will be unveiling it. The SanDisk Extreme III Memory Stick PRO-HG Duo will start shipping on June and comes in 4GB and 8GB capacities with MSRPs of $89.99 and $89.99 respectively.
