Samsung W690 Clamshell Phone with AMOLED Display

samsung-w690Samsung has released another clamshell phone in South Korea that’s equipped with an AMOLED screen. The Samsung W690 clamshell phone comes in black and white with large keys for easy typing and a 2.6-inch AMOLED screen with 240×320 pixels resolution.

The Samsung W690 flip phone is going to be offered in South Korea by SK Telecoms. Aside from the 2.6-inch internal display, there’s also a 1.5-inch external OLED display with 128 x 128 pixels resolution. It has GPS and HSDPA connectivity, Bluetooth, 2 megapixel camera, an MP3 player, and an 800 mAh battery. Seems like a basic flip phone that could be offered free with a contract, but there’s no word yet on its availability outside South Korea.
