What were your first thoughts when the Samsung U900 Soul was first unveiled? Opinions were split down the middle between those who favor metallic-looking phones and those who think they look less than attractive. Delving deeper than just skin-deep are Tracy and Matt’s and CNET.
Both outfits have just released their own reviews of the Samsung U900 Soul slider phone. Tracy and Matt’s, who didn’t like the phone’s looks at first, end up being quite impressed with its features. CNET, on the other hand, expected too much from the first pictures released and ended up being a tad underwhelmed. Nevertheless, both agree that the Samsung U900 is a phone to consider getting due to its decent offerings. One notable feature is its 1-inch touch panel below the main 2.2-inch display housing the phone’s controls. According to CNET, the feature really shines with the camera functionality as its settings become easily accessible. Both reviews found the HSDPA particularly useful especially since there is no WiFi, but CNET was disappointed with the NetFront Web browser which operated slowly. All in all, while the Samsung U900 Soul isn’t especially outstanding, both agree that it’s a solid phone which might be worth getting.
