Samsung SGH-i900 Released, Reviewed by CNET

samsung omnia I have no idea why Samsung chose to announce one of its phones the same day Steve Jobs yaps about the 3G iPhone in the WWDC. The official announcement was so subdued, people barely took notice. Anyhow, the SGH-i900 is now officially launched as the Samsung OMNIA.

The Samsung OMNIA is a Windows Mobile 6.1 PDA phone which surprisingly looks like the iPhone. It has a metal finish with features including HSDPA support, 5MP camera, 240×400 resolution display, and 16GB internal storage. The device features haptic feedback which makes it a lot easier to type on touch screen. According to CNET’s review, Samsung is probably aiming for a finger-friendly device because it doesn’t even have a stylus slot. Finally, another notable feature would be its screen rotation capability which optimizes the screen whether the device is vertically or horizontally aligned.

For Samsung OMNIA’s specs, check out the Official Press Release.

I can’t stand the earbuds, I picked up a pair of Audio Techinca ATH-SQ5 after my buddy recommended them to me. So far they have provided me comfortable, durable and very functional, these are really a great deal.
