Hugo Boss plans to widen the reach of its brand name with its entry into the phone market. Like all other designer brands like Prada, Hugo Boss is partnering with an electronics manufacturer for its new phone.
Meet the revamped Samsung F480 – it’s still the same ol’ touch screen phone, except now it’s got the Hugo Boss touch. By being the same phone, it means the F480 will retain its key features including the 2.8-inch touch screen panel, 5 megapixel camera, and 3G/HSDPA connectivity. The only difference is that the icons are completely redesigned to reflect the brand (along with a few ringtones that supposedly matches Hugo Boss’ image). The Samsung F480 Hugo Boss will only be sold in Europe though, and has an expected price tag of US$617.
