The first pictures of the S60 Touch UI have emerged, and that shiny look is really growing on me. The interface is optimized for a QVGA touch screen device with large menu buttons for easy navigation.
The pictures of the Symbian S60 here aren’t really screenshots from the phone itself according to BGR, but rather pictures of a theme-building software beta. These pictures are showing a 480 x 640 VGA screen resolution which would accommodate the buttons fairly well. One concern that was brought up though was the presence of a screen rotation button, which might mean that there won’t be an automatic screen rotation feature similar to that of the iPhone.
