Great news for everyone already looking forward to the next-gen network connection. While HTC is already leading the pack with the HTC MAX 4G that’s recognized as the first GSM/WiMAX network in the world, RIM won’t get left behind; it’s reportedly already getting ready with 4G devices of its own.
According to source, a team has been assigned to work on Long Term Evolution (LTE) BlackBerry for future releases. RIM wants to be among the first manufacturers to launch 4G handsets by the time it becomes a worldwide norm for mobile computing (expected to be around the year 2011). Hopefully, other manufacturers have their own 4G teams as well; I’m sure the early adopters would cry in happiness.
