Apart from the pricing when compared to its competitors, have you been happy with the standard of Telstra’s customer service and generally the coverage it provides, since you bought your phone.

I’m still about 2 months and 1200km from the nearest Telstra shop and would value your opinion before I buy one.

Yet again, Telstra is dragged, kicking and screaming, into pricing competitiveness. I guess it’s a step in the right direction.

I would have to say that in terms of coverage, I’ve found NextG is pretty good in regional Qld in comparison to every other alternative. Not fantastic, but acceptable.

Customer service is pretty bad sometimes though - the phone queues can be horrific during peak times.

@Gary I’ve been a Telstra Mobile customer for 15 years and in terms of customer service, I have been generally happy.

@Tim agree about the long peak wait times.

Coverage wise, I mainly use my iPhone in metro areas and NextG has served me well. Cannot give you proper opinion about country areas.

Telstra has certified (Blue Tick) some mobile handsets that work well in rural areas. See this CNet article for a list of Telstra Blue Tick phones: http://tinyurl.com/6ktmzr
